Meet Leia

Chief Hunting Officer

The Heart Behind That Neighborhood Guy

Hi, I'm Leia!

As the official Chief Hunting Officer for my dog dad, That Neighborhood Guy, I take my job very seriously.

Whether it's sniffing out the best walking trails, inspecting neighborhood parks, or making sure every community gets my official tail wag approval, I'm always ready for the next adventure.

While my dad helps people find the perfect home, I like to think I help remind everyone why finding the right neighborhood matters just as much.

Every Great Story Deserves a Second Chance

Before I became the Chief Hunting Officer, life looked a little different.

When I was about one year old, I was found  by the local sheriff wandering alone in the woods near DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

Thankfully, Tampa Bay Beagle Rescue stepped in and gave me the second chance every dog deserves. Thanks to their incredible volunteers and foster families, I made my way to Central Florida, where I found my forever home with my mom and dad.

Looking back, it's amazing how one act of kindness changed my life forever.

Why I'm Part of the Story

People often ask why I'm such a big part of That Neighborhood Guy.

The answer is simple.

Home isn't just where you live.

It's where you feel safe.

It's where you're welcomed.

It's where you belong.

That's exactly what I found.

Every neighborhood we explore reminds us that a home is about much more than four walls—it's about the people, the community, and the memories you create there.

That's why you'll often find me joining neighborhood adventures and community events. After all, every great neighborhood deserves a good beagle.

About

Tampa Bay Beagle Rescue

Leia's story wouldn't have been possible without the amazing work of Tampa Bay Beagle Rescue.

Founded in 1999, the organization has spent decades rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming beagles and other hounds throughout Florida. What began as one person's desire to help a single beagle has grown into a statewide network of dedicated volunteers and foster families who have helped thousands of dogs find loving homes.

Leia is proud to be one of those success stories.

If you're ever thinking about adding a dog to your family, please consider adoption. You won't just change a dog's life—they'll change yours too.

One Final Thought

As Chief Hunting Officer, I've learned a few things...

Every walk leads to a new adventure.

Every neighborhood has something special to discover.

And every home is even better when it's filled with love.

Thanks for stopping by to meet me.

I hope our paths cross somewhere around the neighborhood.
